Xbox Mod is a companion utility for Microsoft's Xbox Mod console ecosystem. It enables remote control, system management, and social features from an Android device. The app is designed for console owners who want to manage their system, interact with friends, or use their phone as a media remote without being directly in front of the television.

The most significant modification is the removal of the subscription paywall. This allows full access to remote features and premium UI customizations that are otherwise locked behind a recurring payment.
To activate the mod features, simply launch the Xbox Mod app. The modifications are applied automatically upon startup. No mod menu or special activation sequence is required. The app will function as the premium version from the first launch.
The mod requires Android 8.0 or higher. It does not require root access. Installation requires approximately 90 MB of free storage for the APK file and subsequent data.
Installation steps are standard for modded APKs. First, enable installation from unknown sources in your Android security settings. Second, download the modded Xbox Mod APK file. Third, locate the downloaded file using a file manager and tap to install. Fourth, launch the app and log in with your Microsoft account.
Known edge cases exist. Server-side features, such as multiplayer matchmaking or cloud saves, rely on Xbox Mod Live services and are not modified. The mod only affects client-side unlocks. Clearing the app's data may revert some unlocked cosmetic items until the app is restarted. Using modded features in competitive or online social contexts carries a low but non-zero risk of account flagging by Microsoft's enforcement systems.
