Borealis – Icon Pack Mod is a theming utility for Android that replaces default app icons with a curated set of over 20,000 custom designs. It targets users who want to personalize their device's home screen and app drawer without using a third-party launcher. The app functions as a standard icon pack, applying new graphics through the native theming engine or supported launchers.
What This Mod Unlocks
- All premium icons and wallpaper sets are unlocked, bypassing the in-app purchase requirement.
- Advertisements within the app's interface and during the application process are completely disabled.
- The premium badge and any locked category filters are removed, granting full access to the entire library.
The unlocked content is available immediately upon opening the Borealis – Icon Pack Mod. No activation menu or toggle is required. The modded APK presents the full catalog as if the premium upgrade has been purchased.
This mod requires Android 5.0 or higher. It does not require root access. The installation will consume approximately 110 MB of storage for the APK and its asset files.
Installation Steps
- Download the modified Borealis – Icon Pack Mod APK file.
- Enable installation from unknown sources in your Android settings.
- Open the downloaded file using a file manager and proceed with the installation.
- Launch the app and apply icons through your device's theme settings or a compatible launcher.
Known Edge Cases
Applying icons may require a supported launcher, such as Nova or Lawnchair, for full compatibility. Some system launchers have limited theming support. Clearing the app data will not revert the unlocked status, as the mod is baked into the APK. The mod only affects the Borealis – Icon Pack Mod application itself; it does not modify other system apps or services. Icon updates pushed by the developer through the Play Store will not be received with this sideloaded version.
